The Rainbow Connection

I learned a long time ago to pay attention to signs, things you don’t see everyday and things you are seeing all of the time. I was lucky enough to receive two pretty awesome signs/gifts from the universe today. I started my day today having coffee with the birds, something I used to do all of the time (pre-cockroach).  I drank my coffee and finished The Happiness Project, sad to see the end because I really liked this Gretchen but happy to learn that a new book comes out tomorrow!  I watched the butterflies and the birds and saw the first leaves of fall sprinkle to the still green grass, I really missed this.  I worked up the ambition to start cleaning out the outside building, it’s where everything that doesn’t fit in the house goes to live. Not only did I make a huge dent but I filled up the van and delivered it to Goodwill, and said good bye to  things that were starting to suffocate me.  During this process I received my first gift, a big beautiful bald eagle circling my house.  In northeast Ohio this is a very rare sighting, and a symbol of freedom as I was freeing myself from clutter.  After cleaning up and stacking boxes for Goodwill round two, it started raining.  Not a pouring down rain, but a steady light rain that you can stand in without getting soaking wet, along came gift number two a big beautiful rainbow, if I knew how I would have Kermit singing the rainbow connection while you were reading this.  Yes I am a rainbow chaser and I love every minute of it.  Most people wouldn’t think my eagle or my rainbow were any big deal, but to me it’s a sign that I am on the right track.  I may not know where that track is leading, but today I have taken a small step forward.

About dragonflyzia

I am just a woman finally accepting that I was never meant to be in the box. I don't fit into any stereotypes, please don't try and label me, that doesn't work either. I am embracing my uniqueness in ways that are new and challenging to me, so that I may continue to grow and never stop learning.
