Farewell October

It’s always sad to say farewell to my favorite month of the year.  October is hands down the prettiest with all of the colors of the changing leaves.  The smell of the crisp air, apple cider, hay rides, bonfires, and it brings boot season 🙂 It’s a double edged sword though, I have to say good bye to the light.  I miss the light.  Halloween, my favorite holiday is the perfect way to end the month.  This was the year of the gypsy….Optical GypsyI only wish I remembered to take my head piece off.  Thank you C.G. for taking the picture and making sure I was still hidden!  It was a hard costume to photograph even with my face showing.  I always find it funny that I get more compliments on the costumes that I put together, then the ones that are store bought.

I am very disappointed in AMC this year.  How many times can one network show Friday the 13th and Halloween?  I didn’t see The Shining once, it doesn’t matter that I own it on dvd, it’s not the same.  The family channel used to show a lot more that they have the last couple of years.  It was the only channel I ever saw the Mary Kate and Ashley one with Cloris Leachman.  It was cute and it was corny but it was good.  They are doing the same thing with the 25 days of Christmas, it’s the same thing over and over again.  The old favorites aren’t making the cut, why?  I don’t get it, but I don’t get a lot of things.

I hope everybody had a very Happy Halloween!

It would have been better with more trick or treaters. I love seeing the kids, even the big ones, dressed up!

  2. I agree! Do they say “trick or treat” in your neck of the woods? Not so much here, and we still give them candy. When did that happen I wonder…..
