Why in the world do people pay so much attention to what I do? There are people that I work with that dress like a bum everyday, some don’t even brush their hair. One day two years ago I wore a pair of sweats with a matching hoodie, I didn’t know what a big deal it would be. “Are you sick?” “Why are you wearing pajamas?””Is something wrong?” “Why are you dressed like that?” I never realized how many people paid attention to what I was wearing.
Bad personal hygiene girl was so excited to show me the boots that she purchased with her Macy’s gift card….aren’t they just like yours? I like boots a lot that is no secret but single moms don’t spend $100.00 on a pair of boots…..they kick in some money and buy a food saver to make food stay fresher longer. Mothers who are the sole supporter of the family should think before spending that kind of money. Here is the kicker….my boots….are flat…and my least favorite pair…but I wore holes in my favorite black heels and I can’t find a suitable replacement. Those stupid flat boots killed my feet, I need a heel I am not sure why.
Olive/cabbage patch lady has also taken to wearing dark jeans and a heel. Oh and lacy cami’s with cardigans also. This woman in the last 6yrs has worn nothing but New Balance tennis shoes, sweats, and Ohio State shirts. Why is she dressing like me all of a sudden?
I am not a trendsetter, I just pay attention to what I put on and I use my mirror. I probably pay too much attention, I don’t even go to the mail box without makeup. That’s another reason my skin looks so nice, my face hasn’t been without makeup since I was 15. My arms and legs tan super fast, the sun has to work really hard to get to my face.
The last 5in snowfall that we had…you should have seen me….infinity scarf wrapped around my face and secured with a hair claw so I could shovel before makeup. I even laughed at myself during that and it still didn’t stop me. Maybe it goes hand in hand with a bad body image?
I don’t get it, just because something works for me doesn’t mean it will work for you. Be yourself and let me be me!
