An Early Bird Catches a Nap

I had an obscenely early start to my Saturday, but it was worth it. I met Dr P and his wife to pick up my plants and I gave them some of my fruit butters and salsa. It’s always weird to have an image in your head about what someone looks like and to meet the total opposite in real life. Dr P actually reminded me of a taller version of my dad…weird, right? He gave me plants last year but GB brought them to me and my garden went pooey. He brought me tomato plants, zucchini, squash, and a pepper plant.

I did work out in the garden today but I did not plant. Epsom salts I guess are really important to tomato plants, so I did buy them but I didn’t make it back out to the garden.

I did take a nice little nap around 1:00….. early start….hot sun….physical labor….did me in. I woke up and finished a project though.  I originally was going to make the bird house chandelier that I saw on Pinterest but after I painted and embellished the bird houses…..I didn’t love it enough to put it all together. I decided to use solar lights instead.in the garden 016this is before

in the garden 017and  afterin the garden 018it’s different…I like it.

I have about $25.00 in supplies added to a free light fixture. I tackled one more project from the “I’m gonna make this someday” pile. It’s cute for summer anyway. I’ve been on a roll lately finishing up projects and hopefully I can keep up the momentum.

I will post garden update pictures tomorrow, keep your fingers crossed that I’m better at it this year…..-Zia

I LOVE the chandelier. It is perfect for an outdoor garden space. My parents have a pergola in their backyard that my dad built and I keep telling them they need a chandelier out there…and this one would be perfect.

I just love chandelier’s in places you wouldn’t ordinarily expect(for example, I have one in my closet and I’d like to have on in my laundry room).
