I Love You

i-love-you

Here are three words that are losing meaning at light speed. I don’t know about you but I hear these words all day long. I’m guilty of saying it back in a joking manner but it makes me cringe inside when I do.

Has anybody ever dropped something on your desk at work because they didn’t want to do it and then said in an annoying sing songy voice “love you”?

When you say I love you to someone it should mean something…am I wrong?

I had quite a few accounts say it to me on the phone today and I can’t exactly say “no you love the work I do not me” One of the accounts was the guy that I have blogged about before , that I am not interested in and am running out of ways to politely say no thanks.

For some reason today it really bothered me. When I am in a retail setting for example and a sales associate goes above and beyond, I don’t tell them that I love them. I may say you are my hero for the day but I don’t generally going around saying I love you to complete strangers.

I can’t say that I haven’t on occasion also abused this word but we need to stop. No more I<3 u….I luv u, etc. people please say what you mean and mean what you say..thank you Dr. Suess!

I’m sure on some level I am overreacting but as a society we don’t have many real things left, so don’t take love away…-Zia

I am just a woman finally accepting that I was never meant to be in the box. I don't fit into any stereotypes, please don't try and label me, that doesn't work either. I am embracing my uniqueness in ways that are new and challenging to me, so that I may continue to grow and never stop learning.
