Jelly Faced

Well not really, but I am on a jelly canning spree. Yesterday I made blue/blackberry jam with lavender and today I made white grape/peach jelly with chamomile and mint.

My first concoction I made with fresh ingredients…minus the lavender tea bags. The second was made from juice concentrate with chamomile tea bags.

Everything is an experiment right now. I took the blueberry one to work today and everybody who tried it seemed to like it. It’s not super hot right now so I have some time to play.

I had to buy some more jelly jars and look what I found….in the garden 033

Herb jars….made in the USA…the lids are made in china..I guess I can’t have everything. I have very few plastic containers left…the glass transformation is almost complete. It’s about time, I have been working on this one for more than a year.

Yesterday we had a brief monsoon for like twenty minutes, My front yard became a the garden 031

I have been trying to play a little with light and I must state that I have no idea what the heck I am doing. I think I may have just been lucky, because here is the same area in a slightly different the garden 032

I think this one is pretty cool for an amateur!  It’s way past my bed time but I had a hot jelly mess to clean up…..-Zia
