A Whole New World

Today went very well for a first day, I think that I will like it there. πŸ™‚ It’s a lot to learn and as with any new job…..it’s an adventure! Wearing scrubs is like working in your pajamas and how fun is that?! The computer program isn’t difficult to navigate, don’t get me wrong….I have miles to go but I did a fairly good job of checking patients in and out as well as posting payments. For the payment part I had an eagle eye watching me which is as it should be. Tomorrow won’t be as busy so maybe I can delve a little deeper into what I have learned so far.

I love the fact that there is no time clock to punch and for lunch today…..a drug rep brought in lunch. So I left my whole grain nitrate free turkey (yes meat…I know) sandwich and had a chicken salad with the most amazing pumpernickel croutons. It was a most excellent first day!

So…..back to the meat thing….I am horrible after I watch one of those food documentaries but I always find a balance. I don’t really eat that much meat so it doesn’t take much effort to cut out a little more. I did feel just a tad guilty at breakfast on Sunday when I totally ignored the image of a boiled pig because sausage tastes really awesome with pancakes……the thought is there, even though I chose to ignore it.

new moonI did not make it to yoga yesterday…again because there is too much going on right now. I looked it up and my teacher has a class at 5:45 tomorrow and I am going to try really hard to make it. I think that we can all use extra help this week. Friday is the Spring Equinox, as well as the new moon, and a super moon, and while we are sleeping in the Northeast there will be a solar eclipse…..that’s a whole lot of intensified everything…..so buckle up……Zia
