I wonder why it is that when the girl needs me to take her somewhere it is bonding time, but when I take her to run errands….it’s torture?
She came with me to book club last night and it was only because she wanted to eat at Panera. The book club book was On The Corner of Bitter and Sweet, it was a nice story but I didn’t love it. We went to the movie store after book club and rented Jersey Boys which according to her was boring and really long. I didn’t complain when I had to sit through In To the Storm (the movie that the girl picked) which we watched first.
We had a late start today because we were up so late watching movies. I still had time to try out a tumeric face mask…it was pretty amazing! http://hellonatural.co/simple-beauty-get-glowing-skin-with-turmeric/
I also tried out a new mineral make up today, I think that I may have a winner here. I especially like how she gives extra powder to lighten or darken. The way it came was perfect for me. https://www.etsy.com/shop/GraceMyFaceMinerals?ref=l2-shopheader-name I almost ordered some mineral foundation from a girl at work who sells Mary Kay until I did the research…..it is not good for your skin.
This morning as I am getting ready and trying out these new things I am having a conversation through text with a girl from work. I kept talking about Outlander and she binge watched all of it last weekend and is reading the book and can’t believe that she is ridiculously obsessed (her words not mine). She was on vacation all of last week, I don’t know how we will get any work done on Monday…I already told her we will need to be separated…..who said that you can’t bond over a book?
The Giant Eagle wine taste was not the same without the girl who runs the department, but I can’t fault her for going to the beach. The other funny lady was there….and there was a boy ….a very buff boy…who she told ” you’re so tall, I just want to climb right up you”, the poor kid didn’t know what to say but we sure did laugh over that one!
The girl and I also dropped off a lot of stuff at the Restore today, but I still have miles to go with the clutter. We also went out in search of tennis shoes for the girl. Have you ever had to shop for size 11 tennis shoes? There is not much of a selection but I had a gift card and a coupon so she luckily found a pair in Penney’s.
I don’t feel like I accomplished as much as I should have, but some things did get done.
I hope that everybody is enjoying their weekend…..Zia
