Glitter, Glitter Everywhere, On My Face And In My Hair!

1-glitter-bombAs work days go…..this one was pretty fun. Lots of us were festive and that always makes it more cheerful. I dressed up as a mad scientist and created a new hand pose for pictures, I call it mad scientist hands. Yes, I  know, that’s not so clever…but it was fun.FullSizeRender(88)

My hair was really big before I left the house…..damn drizzle. I spent time trying to make my hair look messy and I got more compliments on my hair today than when I wear it straight. Crazy, I know. This costume only cost 75 cents. I borrowed the lab coat from PT, the glasses from optical, and I bought the little bottle for my mad experiments. I think the glitter killed my baking soda vinegar combo but it still looked pretty.FullSizeRender(87)

I posted some of the pictures from today on Face Book and one of my former co workers posted “Wherever you go, Halloween follows you. I don’t think a single person dressed up at the lab. 😦 ”  I thought it was sweet. I can’t help it, I like Halloween. I can use excessive amounts of glitter and it’s perfectly acceptable…..what’s not to love?

My boss from my Saturday night job called me and asked if I could go in and holy hot mess Batman… was a zoo. I got there at six and took my last table at eight and I made $57.00. That was a lot of running! I stayed until nine helping them clean up because, well, it was bad. My boss, the manager, and the cook ( who really runs the show) all told me that I saved the day. I was there and it was still bad, but it was nice to be appreciated.

I only had to explain a handful of times why there was glitter in my hair. I am hoping that I didn’t fuse any of to my hair when I hit a few pieces of it with a curling iron.  Who wants to eat food served by a waitress with messy hair? I had to pull it up, even if it was a controlled mess, it was still a mess. I did sparkle…..all day long. 🙂

I didn’t have much planned beyond laundry tonight but I was too tired to do anything else when I came home. Hopefully tomorrow night will be a little calmer, it’s hard to say with trick or treat hours in the mix. I will have to find a little headband with ears of some sort for my shift tomorrow. It’s Halloween I can’t ignore tradition….I must wear something costume like……Zia
