Friday was pretty intense and I was lucky enough to make it through the day without incident. After the eclipse….all I wanted to do was sleep. I didn’t but I was worn out. It was harder than I thought to find a live stream of the eclipse….
My first stop was Greece, they were filming over Poseidon’s Temple. At first I thought this is great, I am watching a once in a lifetime event over an ancient temple. Then the person who was filming started zooming in and out and all over the place. I was at work, all I wanted was to be able to glance over at my phone and check out the progress of the moon.
The second one was a science sight that talked more than they showed live. I was at work and my phone is on silent…it’s not what I wanted anyway. The third time was the charm and I found a sight that only showed the moon and it’s progress. It was perfect! I was able to work and watch the eclipse at the same time.
Later that night after the girl and I both napped we sat outside for a bit to watch the moon and Mars. Why do I get so excited over things like this? I have no idea…a friend told me Friday that we were daughter’s of the moon…I like the way that sounds. This was the view from my front porch.
Any male readers? You can skip this paragraph…. just like I skipped my period last month. Yep, 21 days late…I think that counts as a skip. I woke up Friday morning and even said out loud “of course you would start today…it’s the blood moon” I have more than made up for those 21 days. Day three was day three plus all five days missed in one day. It was like Carrie at the flippin’ prom…I thought for sure I was going to throw up or pass out. Luckily neither happened, maybe all of the spinach I ate this afternoon helped. Okay..enough of that talk….
Saturday my hairdresser requested that I move my appointment. She is young and it was a pretty perfect Saturday as Ohio days go so I wasn’t upset. It helps that I have been coloring my own hair with henna, so grays weren’t an issue. I still headed out early, I had some errands to run and the girl was still in bed. My jackpot of the weekend happened when I went to Bed Bath and Beyond to take something back. On a whim I asked the girl if we could go off of the last receipt when I checked out. I had a coupon for $20.00 off of a $75.00 purchase. Last time I didn’t have enough and this time I didn’t have enough but if she combined the two? She worked her magic and made the coupon work. So it made this purchase okay in my mind…no guilt for buying something that wasn’t a necessity. This little meditation poof was marked down to $41.99….minus $20.00…perfection! It matches so perfect that I am sure it was meant to be.
I know I haven’t taken a lot of pictures but I still have lots “almost” done. My little meditation corner is complete and I have even used it. I am pretty excited about the deal I found on that little poof.
Yes, it was my period talking and holy richness Batman….they are sooo good. The boy…who ate a pound of bologna in two days does not know that we have them. Is it wrong that we hid them from him? They are safely hidden in the oven and will last the girl and I all week.
Other than that we just did chores and I did start on a big Christmas project. As soon as I find reasonable priced ribbon and can head on to the next step I will take a picture and let you see my progress. ….Zia
