Highs and Lows

I was able to accomplish a ton this weekend! I had a great momentum going until the dog peed on the Girl’s bed. I know it’s because she didn’t feel good but seriously! Thankfully KB has a carpet scrubber with attachments and that helped tremendously. Today was Easter so I was in a holding pattern until she came home from her dinner with her family.

I went to PT’s this morning for mimosas since I couldn’t eat the yummy caramelized french toast she made. I laughed more this morning than I have in a long time. It felt so good! We looked at some things in Salem MA on the computer and then I took her to the eagle’s nest. We even got to hear a brief conversation between the adults…so cool!

I left PT’s and came home and started organizing all of my paper crafting stuff. It was stored in three or four different places and now it’s all together. I did have to make a run to Home Depot for a couple of containers which helped. I would say that it is 60% better in the basement after all of my work this weekend. A couple more nights of purging and organizing and I should be good to go.

I even decided on my Christmas presents for the cousins and brothers…I want to make a card keeper with a master list of birthdays (including the deceased). I think this is the tutorial I will work with to figure my project out…http://anounceofcreativity.blogspot.com/2012/02/tutorial-birthday-book-card-holder-all.html  It will be a ton of work and not everybody will appreciate it and it is what it is I guess. It’s not going to stop me from making the best project I can and I think it’s going to be awesome!

Last night the Girl put Ragnarok on while I was working on things. That started a conversation this morning at breakfast. When PT pulled out her laptop there was Thor as her screen saver.  I said to her “Thor is a beautiful specimen of a man and while no one would turn down spending some time with him….if I had to choose between Thor and Loki for a dinner date I would totally pick Loki.” What the heck does that say about me? Thor is beautiful but Loki is a much richer character and way more interesting. So I am back to …what does that say about me?

Yesterday the Girl and I ran out to the grass fed farm for eggs…they are sooo good! It’s true what they say about grass fed and free range animals…look at how happy this pig looks…

He was walking right up to us! It was muddy so we didn’t get too close. I almost came home with a chick though! They were offering a “rent a chick” for $10.00 special. They were so cute!!! They gave you everything but a heat lamp. If I didn’t think that one of my animals might hurt it…I would have done it. So close…but reason won and I passed and just left with my yummy eggs.

Today I made the best dinner…or maybe it’s because I am so limited with my diet that when I find a good one I want to scream it from the roof tops. Acorn squash stuffed with sausage, apples, sage, onions, celery, thyme, rosemary, garlic and almonds. Oh and dried cranberries… So good!

The Girl filled up the bird feeders this weekend and put some seed on the windowsill and the cat was in heaven and even pounced on the glass a time or two.

It was a weekend full of highs and lows and now it’s time for Game of Thrones and hopefully that is another high point….Zia
