A Very Entertaining Day

I should have known first thing this morning that nothing would go as planned today…. I let the dog out and went upstairs to use the bathroom. I came back downstairs to find the back door wide open and the cat outside. Luckily he was still on the back porch. I must have not shut the door completely and the beagle pushed it open trying to get in… Normally the beagle immediately goes upstairs with the Girl…this morning she wanted to have coffee with the birds too. So I had both beasts with me for my coffee, surprisingly the dog was pretty mellow.

Nobody wanted to come back in and there was such a nice breeze this morning…I wish the windows were open. I had to wake the Girl up to come sit with the animals so I could jump in the shower. I ran to the farm where I buy my eggs, the farm where I buy my meat, the bank, and the deli where I buy my Boar’s Head meat and cheese and then I headed back home.

I put everything away and then hit up Pinterest for some more ideas. I have one more day until Christmas in July starts and I would like to get busy.  PT and I finally decided on a Christmas craft…I will show you more after we have the supplies we need. I found a few other ideas for friends and family too.

I started to nod off while searching Pinterest and when I checked the time it was around 1pm which is pretty close to nap time so I gave in and took a nap. When I woke up I headed out to the back porch. It was starting to get uncomfortable outside but it was still bearable. The neighbors were outside in the pool and they yelled “come on over!” So I went inside, told the Girl, let the dog out, and put on my swimsuit. We were there for about fifteen minutes before the rain started….it wasn’t even worth putting my bathing suit on for that. We sat in the rain for about five minutes or so before we decided that the rain wasn’t going to stop. I haven’t sat in the rain not caring about my hair since I was a kid..it wasn’t so bad.

It was hours before the rain stopped. The Girl needed to run to Target and I needed apples so we headed out after the rain slowed down…only to drive into a monsoon. When we came out of the store it was still pouring down rain but now the sun was shining so the rainbow search was on. While in the safety of the parking lot I took this….

When I pulled out of the parking lot I saw this…..and made the Girl take a picture with her phone..

We didn’t have any plans until later…. We drove to my aunt and uncle’s house and then the four of us walked to the fireworks in the town center.

Before the fireworks ever started there was a woman dancing around the stage where the DJ was set up. She didn’t care on single bit what anyone thought and she really into her dance moves. There were a couple of people making fun of her and shame on them..this woman should be a lesson to us all. My remarks were…”good for her” and “look at her go”

I was just happy to be able to go and bring the Girl. Last year we missed the festivities because of the move.

We walked back to my aunt and uncle’s house and stayed for a bit. It was late when we got back home. Since we got home so late I was able to watch the side door weaver at work….She moves fast!  She was done and sitting in place by the time I went inside and got my camera…

It’s strange how well this shows up on my camera and how poorly it shows up when I transfer it to my phone..Oh well…It’s 1am and I am up way past my bedtime….Zia
