Moon, Moon, Moon…

I tried my best to lay low and stay under the radar but the effects of the moon were there nonetheless. There was a brief period at work today when everyone was complaining of a headache…definitely the new moon and the solar eclipse. Thanks to modern technology I was able to watch the eclipse via a live stream on youtube while I worked. That stuff never gets old.

Today had it’s moments but it wasn’t as earth shattering as I thought it might be? Somebody shared this video in one of my Facebook groups and some things made sense…especially the spat between myself and the Girl.

I have started trying to implement this way of thinking since last week…

Crude Girl received a delivery chock full of super soft Soma pajamas today at work. They are running a 50% off sale and she must have ordered at least ten pair. My first thought was…I should get a couple pair for my Salem trip later this month. When I asked myself this question….my response to myself was “PT doesn’t care if I wear old shorts and oversize t-shirt…it’s to sleep in. So I showed restraint and didn’t indulge.

I am also second guessing the optician apprenticeship which takes two years…I am not planning on being here that long…so I probably shouldn’t start it? I have been doing some searching online the past couple of days and I practically have myself living in Knoxville TN and I have never even been there…I need a plan. First things first….resume…then maybe a visit? They have a volunteer naturalist program too…like I said, I have been looking. Why Knoxville? Beats me? I was thinking more out west. I really like what I have read about Portland Oregon but it’s super expensive out there. I will figure this out…eventually.

I have been in the kitchen with cherries since Sunday and have canned 25 jars of various sizes and types of cherry jam/sauce/preserves.  All while listening to Where the Crawdads Sing. I am on chapter 44 of 60 as of tonight and I am still loving it! I have already printed the book club questions which was a little tricky because I don’t want to ruin anything. So I only read the first three questions and then printed them. I will make sure the questions are good enough after I finish the book.

I also made a sage toner yesterday from this book…

Always looking for new ways to incorporate herbs into my everyday life. I have only tried one recipe and it was a success…I will let you know if this book is a keeper after I try more recipes.

I flipped the page a day calendar at work today and didn’t even need to look at the choices…Buffy made the work page a day…

It’s the little things that get me through my days…..Zia
