I have lots on my to do list tonight and while I most likely won’t get everything done, I’m still going to give it my best shot. Today was quite the day…BV was off for family reasons and the Optician was down covering for her, which left me to play optician. I am all about learning something new. If you want me to work in optical…great…train me. I did receive some great training when BV was off for her surgery and when she came back, the training stopped. I haven’t fitted someone in glasses in months and I wasn’t happy about feeling rusty while I was over there. Today was your average square peg in a round hole kind of day.
Work was long but not as long as some Mondays have been in the past. I didn’t get much of my own work done since I was covering in optical. I was very happy to leave there today. Monday truly is the worst day of the week and I’m glad it’s over.
I came home from work, poured a glass of wine and made my list. First thing I did was reconcile the money from this weekend. There is no time on Sunday night with all of the food prepping. It doesn’t take long but is important so I am glad it is done. I also sent in my request for product that sold well or was requested. This is a three day weekend coming up and I don’t want to run out of stuff.
My biggest problem for the upcoming three day weekend is food. My handy dandy Alcon cooler is perfect for two days and one night but it won’t cut it for three days and two nights. I really need to search Pinterest for foods I can eat that do not require refrigeration. That will have to go on tomorrow’s list…I have no more room on today’s list. I might even reach out to Danielle Walker since her cookbook Against All Grain has become my go to cookbook.
I have never seen this before and I want to yell “yes this!!!” but I won’t….you get the idea. It’s such a perfect quote.
Now I am off to conquer a few chores before settling into my story again. I did make lot’s of notes over the weekend but no actual writing. It’s time to get busy….Zia
