I Never Listen to Myself…

Do you remember the moment when I was inspired to continue my family mystery…aka genealogy?  If you do remember than you must also remember that I mentioned that it was a winter activity. I apparently don’t listen to myself and when I went into the library today I was overwhelmed by the amount of books I had on hold. I had my own shelf…so maybe a tad excessive?

Scottish roots, Scottish ancestry, Scottish tartans, Scottish cookbooks, a CD, and a DVD. I clearly didn’t listen to myself. I did watch the DVD tonight when I made some book page wreaths. There is no way this DVD was made by anyone who lives in Scotland. I think it said Canada? They pronounced Culloden wrong and as  person who has read Diana Gabaldon books with no prior Scottish knowledge and pronounced Culloden wrong herself…I noticed. Now that I know how to pronounce it correctly I am extra aware…plus they said Nessie wasn’t real…I should have known then to hit stop. I’m not sorry that I watched it but it wasn’t the best DVD.

Today was oddly productive. I made a book page wreath for my wine steward friend’s benefit, and one for my breaker at the faire, and for the girl who brings me my art stock.  I had the Girl pick the best one and that’s the one I kept for the benefit. The other two are just thank you’s .

I also cut the grass and food prepped this afternoon so I truly did get a lot done. I am hoping to get some writing done tonight…after I clean up the kitchen and find a place for the book overload that I brought home from the library…..Zia

PS: In case you didn’t know…Nessie is real….

About dragonflyzia

I am just a woman finally accepting that I was never meant to be in the box. I don't fit into any stereotypes, please don't try and label me, that doesn't work either. I am embracing my uniqueness in ways that are new and challenging to me, so that I may continue to grow and never stop learning.
