In the past couple of weeks, I would just say skip it at the end of the day. I have been a slacker when it comes to blogging. We are all going through the same things so what’s the point? As I sit here listening to Front Range Radio’s inspirational picks, it’s true…we are in this together! I am lucky to have been around the same people from the beginning so hugging is not an issue. Even Force of Nature Girl who hates hugs, has become a temporary hugger. These are strange times!
Since I chose not to skip it, what do I have to say? I finally finished my food grade bucket upcycle. I was only able to plant the lettuce so three containers are done and seven more are loaded with dirt and waiting until the weather improves. I think the shabby bow makes the difference.
Yesterday was the productive day, finishing the planters, cutting the grass, and foraging for dandelion flowers. Today I had little more to do than worship the sun, which I may have over did a tiny bit? After the first half hour I put on sun screen, I may have waited too long. I have more than a few red areas…I was just trying to even out my farmer’s tan a little? I bought two sleeveless sundresses and I was just trying to even things out a bit? Today was the highlight of the next two weeks and since I knew the temperature was going to take a dive…I may have over compensated? By may…I mean definitely!
I food prepped tonight and since I haven’t come up with anything new since the “rona” I still made taco salads. I also made some dandelion cupcakes. The Girl made a big stink when I asked her to try it and then ended up liking it so I am hopeful. I plan on bringing some to work tomorrow. I haven’t tried the honey icing yet but it’s tasty without any icing. I have enough flowers left to make a jelly but ran out of time today. Colder days are for playing in the kitchen…today was not one of those days.
Nothing too exciting but that was my weekend. I hope you are all safe and healthy….Zia
