No Rest For the Wicked

The beagle came downstairs and started head butting my bed at 6:30am this morning. I said “come on Zoey…it’s Saturday, go lay down!” Which didn’t work so I got up and let her outside. I got back in bed and snuggled under the covers for two more minutes before the Boy came down the stairs “how long do I have to wait until I can cut the grass?” Ugh! “at least 7.” So much for sleeping in this Saturday. I didn’t even get a nap today! I did get a lot done though…

Force of Nature Girl gifted me with an old chandelier. I made it into a solar chandelier for the back porch. I debated on which porch to put it on and decided the back porch. It would look better on the front porch but the back porch has more privacy which means…I would actually see it.

One of the lights was completely out when I was attaching the greenery so I put it outside while I finished. Later tonight when I took a picture in the dark, you can clearly see which light spent the extra time in the sun…

The Girl and I even had a little fire in the fire pit tonight…

Lots of faces in the fire this time. We had a nice little fire, I burned up all of the shredding and some old herbs I had hanging for decoration. Bugs were not a problem tonight!

I accomplished quite a bit today, I will chalk that up to the full moon/lunar eclipse energy. That energy has been quite the ride….I had a blow out with the Girl on Thursday. We were both yelling, she was crying and the Boy was taking the garbage can to the street when the neighbors gave him an extra look. I guess we were pretty loud. Dishes…that’s what we were arguing about….so silly now, but I was on fire that night! One seven minute argument in almost two years isn’t so bad…the neighbor across the way has loud parties and throws girls off the porch on their faces so I’m not too worried about disturbing the neighbors. I hate when the Girl and I argue like that…it leaves me feeling heavy the next day.

It was a wild ride this week so when I was greeted by this little guy on Friday….slightly after five o’clock, it was a welcome sight.

He actually listened to me when I asked him not to move. This is the reason I carry my camera with me always. I don’t see too many bunnies these days and later that night I saw one in my driveway. That’s only the second bunny I have laid eyes on in the almost two years I have lived here. That picture was taken through a window with a screen so it wasn’t the best and that’s why I didn’t post it.

Lots of work things are happening and all of them are overwhelming so I won’t talk about it today. It was a rough week and I am happy that it is over. I accomplished so much today that I feel slightly ahead of the game, which doesn’t happen to often….Zia
