I have been having the strangest deer sightings lately. Today for example…I was helping the last patient of the day when I looked up to see a deer running down the road. Not across the road but down the road. There are two lanes of traffic in each direction with a turning lane. The deer crossed four lanes and was aiming for the side street. I couldn’t see the side street from where I was but that was where it was headed. Then one of my coworkers said a woman stopped in the road, got out of her car and was taking pictures of her car. I hope the deer is okay? I didn’t see anything when I drove by after work so fingers crossed.
I forgot to mention that on the Solstice, in the morning, when I was sitting on the back porch with the cat and the dog…the dog took off pulling on the run. I looked toward the neighbor’s shed looking for a bunny or a chipmunk only to see a rather large deer. I said “oh…good morning!” It looked at the beagle and made a guttural type noise….which I have never heard in my life and then proceeded to prance like there was a secret Christmas mirror it needed to jump through….and then it was gone.
Sunday night and Monday morning I saw a hummingbird. I always look in my Animal Speak book when I see something rare and it had a paragraph about sugar. Funny story…okay, really not funny. PT said it sounded like hypo- something.
I found a new gluten free company and had success with the soy free/gluten free chocolate chip cookies and the pizza crust so I ordered a few more things. One of the mixes were pancakes which I haven’t had in over a year and a half. Monday night I made breakfast for dinner. I used pure maple syrup….but….I have a heavy pour. Gluten free is still high in carbohydrates and maple syrup is still sugar so I’m not sure why I was so surprised by the crash? Maybe because it never happened before? I was still flipping pancakes around 7pm, by 8pm I was in the shower, by 8:30 I was out. I woke up at 11:30pm and tossed and turned the rest of the night. It looked like I wrestled a bear in my bed by morning. I was dizzy and nauseous and really didn’t feel better until Wednesday morning. It was awful and I will avoid this from happening again at all costs.
I had lots of dreams too. I wasn’t feeling up to writing them down and the only one I remember was about the eagles. There was a big box of eaglets in the middle of a room. I remember asking the mom who was a wolf/eagle “will they remember my voice when they are soaring in the sky?” I sang to them a lot and was curious if they would remember?
Dreams have been rampant and full of symbols. I will take that over work drama any day!! There is still one big instigator/martyr at work and that’s all I am going to say at the moment.
Other than that, this was a good week at work. I have been blessed with helpful people and in the most unexpected places. I am very lucky…Zia
