I swear…the only thing missing from today was a chair and a whip, because it truly was a circus! Somehow we all survived, thank goodness. I’m glad I have a mentor to help me on Monday because for the first hour, I was finishing up Friday. Everything was closed on Friday which made it difficult and some things had to wait for phone calls and jobs that didn’t involve insurance had to wait until this morning too. It was just as crazy today, but it all got done.
On the home front, I am still digging myself out of pictures. I made two albums for the Girl and Boy last week. One for them and one for me. Most of their pictures are in photo safe boxes and in their rooms. Tonight I put one together for my nephews. I collected all of the photo Christmas cards over the years and the Girl put them together by family and I put that together too. I don’t actually have an album for those but I like the 8 1/2 x 11 ones I bought for my kids so I just used the card stock I had on hand and now I know how many refills I need to buy with the album.
12 x 12 albums are nice but then you have to think about storage. They are awkward, I had to buy a special photo storage box for the Girl’s basketball album. I have a couple of albums that I have purchased over the years and are waiting on me to get busy. Two, maybe three? One is a Christmas album which I almost used for the photo Christmas cards but I decided to use it on my family Christmas pictures instead.
The pictures are getting in the books but there is no journaling or embellishing happening at the moment. My goal is to get them out of the boxes in the basement and in an organized manner. I am getting close, I am hoping to be about 1/3rd of the way done. I feel like I have to complete this task before I can move on to the genealogy information I need to research. I hate having it in the living room, on the floor…staring at me…like the hot mess it is. I did get two big things done tonight so I should be happy about that?
I can’t do it all…it’s a proven fact! I do know I have to get the pictures I have in order before I head into the unknown. (anyone else hear Elsa singing?) I can’t help it…I really liked Frozen 2.
That’s it and that’s all…put a fork in me….I’m done! Hopefully things start to wind down a little…Zia
