Blood, Sweat and Tears

I spent most of today with PT. We worked on our burlap wreaths upcycled from coffee bags. I went to her house today at 10am and dressed for 83 degrees with rising humidity. The local weather had it wrong again….it rained most of the day and never made it past 74 degrees.

We stopped to make a craft store run to get more floral pins to secure the burlap and then it started monsooning again. We did make leaps and bounds with this project today. I only need a dark ribbon to finish off the last two I have and then  I am done! This was a hard project!!!

Last time we got together I cut myself on the scissors and bled like crazy. Today, PT burned herself, I still manged to burn myself with the glue gun, and can’t feel my thumb. I’m pretty sure PT can’t  feel her thumb either. It is a huge feeling of accomplishment and no one will know how hard it was!

Last night I had a little fire in the fire pit. The neighbors even walked over, it was a nice night.

I’m not sure what you see in the fire but I see a dog with a fairy on his nose. I always have the best faces in my fires. The girl sees bunny ears in place of the dog face but that’s not what I see. I guess we all see different things.

As rainy days and Mondays go…it was a great day. Tomorrow is back t reality…Zia

About dragonflyzia

I am just a woman finally accepting that I was never meant to be in the box. I don't fit into any stereotypes, please don't try and label me, that doesn't work either. I am embracing my uniqueness in ways that are new and challenging to me, so that I may continue to grow and never stop learning.
