This is Halloween

I had a nice Sunday today. I started my day at PT’s for breakfast which is always a good time. The stories I heard this morning, I have never heard before and I thought I had heard them all. My friend is full of great stories!

I went home, picked up the Girl and headed out for a couple of errands. I dropped of some recycling, took a bag to Goodwill, and even stopped at Best Buy to recycle an old laptop. Then we headed to JoAnn Fabrics to check a few more things off of my list.

We came home and I did a few things outside while the Girl worked on school assignments. She finally got to a place where she could take a break and we put up our Halloween decorations. We did some things differently this year…inside and out.  Maybe tomorrow I will get a picture? We put up the decorations while listening to Hocus Pocus…one of my favorite movies. Later since she had Disney Plus up I had the Girl put My Mom Has a Date With a Vampire on, it is one of my favorites from when the kids were little. I also like the one called Under Wraps with Harold the mummy but I don’t think they are playing that one. I really need to talk her into watching the second Maleficent movie before she takes her Apple Tv back to her room. I’ve wanted to watch that one for a while.

I forgot how much I got rid of last year. I feel like now I have just the right amount of decorations. I only bought one thing this year and it was a total impulse buy. I figure anything that made me laugh out loud in the store was worth the $4.99 price tag…thank you TJ Maxx.

I’m glad we finished the outside decorations as well. I think tonight…maybe tomorrow night will be my last night with the frogs and crickets singing their song while I drift off to sleep. Their song and the night air will be greatly missed…

It was strange to not food prep today…strange but nice. I am trying hard to not make myself “feel” like I need to be productive. Whatever I get done…gets done. It’s more about relaxing this week. I just need to find my mosey….Zia
