The Girl and I went back to the woods last night. I had to drop off some book page pumpkins at a local consignment shop which happens to be right next to the woods. We weren’t in the woods for two minutes when we happened upon this little lady…
We walked the trail for awhile until the Girl picked a path to the right. It was a path that had a wooden bridge (on the ground) built by the local Eagle Scouts many moons ago. It definitely needs some attention in parts. We came around the bend where the Girl encountered a chipmunk. The Girl jumped, the chipmunk not only jumped, but turned, and ran while screaming until he found his hole. It was strange and funny all at the same time. I have never heard a chipmunk scream before so this was a new one.
We made it back, almost to the main path when I took this one…I call this one “always look up” you never know what you might see. We came across a jogger that told us about a heard of deer he passed a way back so we walked further down the path. We were still walking when he came back around. He did stop and give us great information about the deer and the different paths. He was very nice and I didn’t get any bad vibes off of him but still….stranger danger, plus we were losing light. Sunset was at 6:44 and we made it home around 7:00.
We ate a late dinner and when I sat down to possibly blog the Girl put on Trixie and Katya on Netflix. The did a review of the new show The Haunting of Bly Manor. The Girl and I had already watched episode 1 so there weren’t many spoilers. I laughed and laughed…these drag queens are worth the watch! We ended up watching a few of their other ones but the Bly Manor one was my favorite.
I had my appointment with the peridontist today. Her staff was top notch and the decor was warm and homey, I would recommend this office 110%. I didn’t love her news but I will figure it out. Other people can pull a rabbit out of their hat…so why can’t I? I didn’t expect to be there almost two hours but I was and did I mention how great her staff was? I only wish I would have skipped the dentist and started here…it would have been cheaper. Everything is for a reason I guess.
All I wanted to do was process this information but when I came home but the Girl wanted to go to Target so begrudgingly I got back in the car and drove. I still have to food prep lunch for the rest of the week but other than that…I guess I’m good….Zia
