Final Days

It’s official….I go back to work tomorrow. My car doesn’t agree and the ignition switch refused to turn today…I guess it’s a Honda thing? I still have to go to work, the Boy can drive me and Big K can drop me off on the way home. I’ll worry about it on Wednesday unless my car changes it’s mind in the meantime.

I had no car problems yesterday when the Girl and I went to Big K’s to bake cookies. It was a good time! The young doctor was also there, Force of Nature Girl didn’t show but that’ a story for another day. We made lots of cookies and this picture doesn’t show all of them…

I was in charge of the gluten free cookies and the chex mix white chocolate trash and they aren’t in the picture. I live for days like these, not because of the cookies, because of the bonding. As women…we are lacking a sense of community. It’s not like the old days. Maybe someday I will talk more about that subject.

I did get a lot done today in the boring housework category…it needed to be done so that’s a good thing. The Girl worked on one of her finals most of the day. It was for her Geology class..a GIS project on what turns out to be Walker Kentucky in Knox County. Look up Walker Kentucky and see my frustration in the family history of this branch. I knew the location and the county but never heard of Walker…

That has pretty much been my weekend, nothing too exciting. I am rested, relaxed, and in a different place than I was before Thanksgiving….Zia

Slightly move your steering wheel while turning the key. If that doesn’t work, slightly move the gearshift lever while turning the key.

Thank you so much for the advice! I did take your advice but it didn’t work. Thank you for taking the time to leave me a suggestion! My friend’s husband even came out to see if he could get it to turn. Eventually…I needed a tow.
