The stomach bug has been going around work the last couple of weeks. Force of Nature Girl went home two Thursdays ago, called off Friday and was sick all weekend. Crude Girl went home on Wednesday and called off Thursday and Friday. So when my stomach was grumbly on Thursday night I was worried. I had my moments Thursday night, slept through my alarm on Friday (only by a half an hour) and had a headache most of Friday morning. That was it, and then I was okay. Thankfully my body was able to fight it off and fast.
It took a lot of energy to function as normal throughout the day so when I came home, I was done. I rarely binge a show but I did binge Fate on Netflix this weekend. The Girl wouldn’t watch it because it was dark compared to the Winx cartoon she used to watch on Saturday mornings. I never watched the cartoon so it worked for me. I liked it! Was it the best thing I have ever watched? No, but it held my attention and I enjoyed it. I hope it gets a second season.
I had no plans to leave the house on Saturday. I even made sure I did a little running around after work on Friday so I didn’t have to go anywhere. I received a message from the sustainable store that bought the wool ball car diffusers from me a couple of weeks ago…she wanted ten more. Of course I said yes and then got busy. I ran out of the cord I was using after six of them so I had to run to the craft store…on a Saturday. There were people everywhere, it was awful. Traffic is so crazy in that area on the weekends. I grabbed what I needed and made it home in record time. I finished them and dropped them off before she closed. So much for staying home, I ended up going out twice.
Today after I finished my food prep for the week, the Girl and I headed out to Target and Barnes and Noble. We saw the strangest thing in the parking lot. There was a tiny brown field mouse running around the parking lot. He must have fallen out of a car? That’s the only thing that makes sense. We were in the store for twenty minutes and he was still running around the parking lot when we came back out. I hope he didn’t get squished.
We ended up stopping at TJ Maxx before we headed home. On the way out of the store I stopped and looked at a woman. I really had to look because I wasn’t sure until she turned her head. I can’t believe that it took me that long to recognize SB….mask or no mask. It was a nice surprise but I am still shocked. The Girl said she walked by us a couple of times when I was looking at the deodorant. (All natural, aluminum free doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s good for you…read the labels…just sayin’.) She didn’t recognize us either. I find that pretty darn scary…..Zia
