I Don’t Know About You, But…..

Can you feel it? This week has been intense! With the full moon on Thursday and Mercury going retrograde on Saturday, it should only get more interesting.

Oddly, I have been making some progress at work and at home. Sunday I watched  The Minimalists:Less is Now on Netflix. I watched their first documentary and for some reason this new one gave me more motivation. They gave a challenge towards the end of the documentary. Get rid of one item each day.

Not only am I doing this, I have a purging buddy. New Girl who loves to buy things and has a hard time letting things go agreed to do the challenge with me. Yesterday she purged two vases. I purged  aluminum foil buffet pans that I had leftover from the Girl’s graduation party in 2017…I even moved these from the haunted house. (insert eye roll)  I donated those to the surgery nurse who has a daughter graduating this Spring. I took a box of wine bottles that I washed and scrubbed the labels off of quite some time ago to BK who has family that makes homemade wine. I purged 5 Corningware 15oz oval casserole dishes, some baskets (I never should have bought at the Restore) and some greenery. Today I purged all board games except Scrabble and an Uno deck. Needless to say…my trunk is full.

I finally organized all of the case overstock at work. I had eyeglass cases in boxes and in bags in the back storage room but never had time to organize them. Today I said “that’s it! I’m doing this now!” So I put on a Mountain Rose Herbs podcast and got busy. It was chaos that consumed the lunch table for about an hour and a half. Now it’s all organized above the lockers with everything clearly labeled. It’s official..board management is complete and everything has a place, including the cases. It was a huge undertaking and I’m so glad it’s finally finished.

Tomorrow starts the beginning of my kitchen counter harvest…lots of things will be ready in the next couple of days. My calendula oil and tincture will be ready tomorrow. I am in desperate need of the calendula salve..my hands are so dry they are cracking. I even want to try a calendula lotion bar and some lip balm. It’s a good thing tomorrow is half day Wednesday because I’m about to make a big mess! This is the fun part….Zia

I am just a woman finally accepting that I was never meant to be in the box. I don't fit into any stereotypes, please don't try and label me, that doesn't work either. I am embracing my uniqueness in ways that are new and challenging to me, so that I may continue to grow and never stop learning.

  1. What an inspiration this is. I’m moving to turntables for organizing, even in my fridge. And it forces me to empty a space out and really look at what I have. I found one thing — I didn’t even know what it was. It’s so liberating to just get rid of stuff. To bring my favorite things into better focus. To be more time efficient. Ahhhh. Happy thoughts. Good side benefits of being home so much.
