I’ve been trying to make a post since Thursday but my phone keeps ringing… Thursday night the Optician from the South called….there went an hour of my life. She’s nice and I like her but I haven’t figured out a way to tell her how much I dislike talking about work when I am not at work. Friday night my old boss called and there went another hour. He occasionally gets bored and tests the waters. I stand by my original statement from years ago….he is only interested because I am not.
Tonight my dad called and again….I lost another hour of my life. I couldn’t find a way to escape since he was calling from the car where he was being the worst backseat driver ever! His wife didn’t seem to mind which is lucky for him I guess? I would not put up with that horse hooey but that’s just me.
There were a couple of things that really upset me this week. Force of Nature Girl may have walked out on Monday but the drama continued for most of the week even though she was gone. It calmed down by the end of the week so fingers crossed it will be a better week next week. I loathe workplace drama!
I also found out that there was more to the story about the Baby Mama. Yes, she was high and driving the wrong way down the interstate when she killed that girl. What the news (insert very large eye roll) did not say was how badly she had hurt herself. That child is full of metal plates and pins. She has only been walking on her own for about the last month. Does this excuse her behavior? Absolutely not! I do believe that this fact should have been included in the story. This is another example of why we should all just turn off the television. It hasn’t been on at all in this house today and more than likely tomorrow too.
The Girl and I did a little bit of running around today. We started out at the local farm where I buy my eggs. Since we were right there, we stopped at the eagle’s nest. I could see the mama eagle’s head peeking above the nest which is still cool but I already have that picture. The Girl and I were standing there talking to an older woman when The Girl spotted something in the sky. What the heck? The Girl said UFO and the older woman said drone. I didn’t make a guess but I knew it wasn’t either of those things. I picked up my camera and the battery was dead…what the?? I just charged it?? The older lady picked up her camera and she said there was a black spot in her line of vision. It was very strange. I probable hit the power button when I put it away the other day…maybe? I looked through the older woman’s camera and I could see fine so maybe she had a floater? I have no idea…it was strange. Not as strange as a military plane flying over the eagle’s nest with some really bright lights at noon on a Saturday. Very strange.
We stopped at a few other places, a local greenhouse, TJ Maxx, etc. The most interesting place was on the way home. I had been looking for garage sale signs all day and didn’t come across even one. We did happen to come across a sign that I thought was for a garage sale. I couldn’t read the sign until after I made the turn. It was a sign that gave an address and said “everything is free” it was 1 o’clock in the afternoon and I thought for sure everything would be gone. It was not.
All week long I have been looking for someone who could burn a DVD and I got nothing. Disc drives are old school apparently and no one has one. In this driveway with a bunch of random things is a DVD recorder. I might have walked right by it but someone had circled the word recorder. If it works I will be doing a giant dance of joy. Plus I will be able to share the contraband documentary I was able to borrow. Everyone who wants to watch the movie The Magic Pill should be able to do so without censorship.
Speaking of censorship….I know someone who is running for office in another state. He is a registered Republican. He has hardly made any tweets in his lifetime and has been banned from Twitter. He thinks it is because he is a registered Republican. I can’t speak for the validity of this, especially because I was on Twitter for 2.9 seconds before I decided it wasn’t for me.
Everything is just so Sci-Fi right now and it can be scary. The only thing we can do is keep the FAITH! The LIGHT has always beaten the dark and as long as WE as a COLLECTIVE stay strong and BELIEVE in the light…we can RISE above this mess….LOVE is always the answer…Zia
