Friday night when the Girl and I were on episode 2 of Castlevania she received a phone call from one of her friends. Any weekend plans we had changed at that moment. There was an extra ticket to an Ohio amusement park that was already paid for so of course the Girl jumped at the chance. So much for sleeping in on Saturday….I got up earlier with her than I do during the week.
I had more wild dreams Friday night/Saturday morning. One of the dreams was a dream within a dream….I was sleeping but conscious enough to see the cat battling something above my head, near the headboard. I tried to move but I was having another sleep paralysis moment. I heard myself say all of the things I say/chant when I am in that situation. The cat walked away and I was awake within the dream. In the dream there was a large mirror above the headboard. I looked into it and as I looked away I thought I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I looked back and there was nothing but me until the Girl walked into the doorway behind me. I don’t remember much after that but it was a wild dream!
Since I was already up I decided to go to a few garage sales, I woke the Boy up too. The first two stops had a bonus garage sale across the street. Nothing too exciting, although I did find a 100% cotton queen sized waffle blanket for $2.00. The fifth and last stop was the goldmine. I had to talk myself out of quite a bit. There was a small chair with French script that I could not walk away from….I found out later it was from Pier 1 and it was called Josette. I just knew it was mine and $20.00 was the perfect price!
The Boy asked the man who was having the garage sale if he had any game systems. The man came out with a Wii on some tower with games that have never been opened. The Boy asked how much he wanted and the man said $10.00 and the Boy said “I’ll give you $20.00!” We had a long discussion about this transaction. When I explained why he shouldn’t have offered more than the asking price he responded ” Mom, it was too good of a deal, I couldn’t accept his price…it wasn’t enough.” This kid!
By now it was a little after 10am. I dropped the Boy, my chair and other small things off at home and headed to Big K’s. She had already dug up a bunch of Hostas and I helped with what was left. This was the rest of my day. I brought home the Hostas, decided where to put them, split the ones that were big and then planted them. Many, many, many hours later when I finished this task, I decided to plant my garden. I am not used to that kind of work and/or doing it all day. I didn’t even make it to 10 o’clock Saturday night and I woke up at 8:12am. My body demanded 10+ hours of sleep after that kind of work.
I was worried that I would have problems moving today but that wasn’t the case. As long as I kept moving, I was fine. I find now, when I sit and then move…it’s a tiny issue. It’s nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. Sleep really is the best medicine!
The Girl came home mid afternoon. I had done everything except cut the grass. We headed out to a new store that opened this week. I wasn’t impressed. It’s like Walmart, only not in a crappy location and I don’t think the prices were that great. I won’t write it off yet, but as first impressions go…it’s nothing to write home about.
Has anyone experienced some weird time experiences? De ja vu? Seeing things out of the corner of your eyes? Repetitive chores seem to finish faster? Is your tongue twisted? Does it take you a couple of tries to get your sentence out? The last time this happened there was talk of timelines jumping. Is it happening again? Things have been very caddywhompus since the new moon on the 11th.
Hopefully this week will be slightly calmer….Zia
